Our Governing Body

The Governing Body plays a major part in the decision making and budget monitoring of the school. Groups of Governors meet as working parties to discuss particular issues of Finance, Building and Resources, Personnel, Pupil Discipline and Curriculum. These committees report to the termly full Governors Meeting when issues of local and national interest are discussed, and when decisions concerning management of the school are taken Governors are also involved in training related to all aspects of school management and curriculum.

If you wish to become School Governor, please complete our School Governor Nomination form found under Downloadable Forms in the School Office section of our website, and return the completed form to the School Office.

Woodham Burn Community Primary adhere to the statutory guidance from the Department for Education. This means that governing bodies must have regard to it when carrying out duties relating to the constitution of governing bodies in maintained schools.
