Year 4

Hello and welcome to the Year 4 page. In Year 4 we aim to inspire learning by working as a team and understanding that success is achieved through hard work. We welcome all into our class and want to make all feel welcome. Below is an outline of what we will be covering this term. We also have displayed some pictures of work we have done in class. If you ever had any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to make an appointment to see me with the Main Office. Many thanks,

Mr. Sparrow

Autumn term

During the Autumn Term we are going to be studying the Romans and the effect they had on Britain today. The class are going to be investigating how the Roman Empire expanded so rapidly and discuss how it fell.

In science, children will be looking at how sound travels and how we can change pitch and frequency. Children will also investigate changing states and how some changes are reversible and some are irreversible.

Within the foundation subjects we will be looking at a wide range of topics: why different religions worship during RE; netball and dance in PE; how to control our singing voices; and a range of arts and DT tasks relating to the Roman time period.
