It is an absolute honour to be the Executive Head Teacher of The Archway Federation, Vane Road and Woodham Burn Primary Schools.  The schools sharing of the same key principles enables us to share the very best of practice, align this at the same time as enabling both schools to be unique in supporting the individual needs of their communities.  In June 2023, we were delighted to join Lingfield Education Trust.

We teach the children that they are the most important part of the school and the teachers are here for them.  We believe that the one thing that makes us all the same is that we are different and so we celebrate the array of difference that we have in our school communities and the wider world.

As a parent of two girls myself, I know how challenging parenthood is and how much we adore our children.  In leading The Archway Federation, I always strive to provide the children here with what I would want for my own children.  The best is only good enough for them so that is what we will strive for at this school.

My name is Mr Damian Sparrow and I am the Head of School here at Woodham Burn Community Primary School. I want to ensure that every child has the best start to their education as they possibly can. As a father of three, I know the level of faith that we all put into a school to not only teach our children but also keep them happy and safe. I want a school with smiles, as I believe that a school with happy children will be a productive school. I always set out giving our children two simple targets. Target 1 is to start everyday with a positive attitude. Target 2 is to try hard. It is with these two simple targets I believe that children can underpin their life in school.
